Curriculum

General: I received my B.Sc. in Electronics Engineering and M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Electrical-Biomedical Engineering. During my Ph.D. I spent 6 months at Biorobotics Laboratory (BioRob), EPFL, Lausanne, Switzerland. After finishing my PhD, I worked as an assistant professor at Department of Biomedical Engineering, University of Isfahan (Isfahan, Iran) and as a research associate at Department of Neurosciences, Biomedicine and movement sciences, University of Verona (Verona, Italy). I should mention that after finishing my B.Sc., I was working as an electronics engineer to design and implement electronic devices. Later, I expand my experience in repairing and implementing biomedical/bioelectrical devices. To this end, I attend a short-term training on biomedical devices at Corbett research, Sydney, Australia.
Current position: research associate at the Department of Neurosciences, Biomedicine and Movement Sciences, University of Verona (Verona, Italy).
Practical skills: implementing electronics sensors for biomedical data acquisition, developing Matlab toolbox (for instance, for an experiment with the ability of real-time visual feedback about what sensors measures), Arduino projects.
Specialization: Computational and cognitive neuroscience, human motor control and movement analysis, system identification and pattern recognition, signal processing, biological system modeling, artificial intelligence, optimization and prediction.
Main interests: Computational and Cognitive Neuroscience, brain mapping, biofeedback based learning and rehabilitation, Biomedical Instrumentation and Measurements, Sensorimotor Neuroscience, placebo, Human Motor Control and Planning, Biological System Modeling, System Identification.
Background: I have a strong mathematical and theoretical background (ranked 5th in B.Sc. public university entrance exam in Electronics Engineering, ranked 8th Electrical Engineering Olympiad in Iran and ranked 2th in mathematics Olympiad in Isfahan province, ran) with many years of experiences about implementing electronic sensors. I was working as a service engineer for more than 10 years to design and repair electronic industrial and biomedical devices. In addition, I was working as a university assistant professor and as a university lecturer for more than 12 years in the field of electronics engineering and biomedical engineering. Furthermore, I was working as a researcher for more than 5 years in the field of cognitive neuroscience with a lot of experience about neuro-stimulation (TMS and tDCS).
