Learning objectives
The course is aimed at understanding the molecular processes associated with the commitment and differentiation of stem cells with particular reference to the mesenchymal compartment.
Prerequisites and basic notions
Knowledge in the field of cellular and molecular biology
Program
The molecules involved in the maturation steps of mesenchymal stem cells and the modulation of gene expression in physiological and pathological conditions will be described. The biomolecular processes activated in response to exercise/physical activity and to nutraceutical molecules in cells deriving from mesenchymal differentiation in an osteogenic, adipogenic and chondrogenic sense will also be described.
