Born June 11th, 1979 in Vittorio Veneto, Italy. MD degree at University of Padova, Italy, in 2004 (110/110 magna cum laude). Neurosurgery board at University of Padova in 2010 (70/70 magna cum laude). PhD degree in Neurosciences at University of Padova in 2013. European Board of Neurosurgery Part I in 2010. ATLS (American College of Surgeons) in 2012 and 2016. Italian National Validation for Associate Professorship in Neurosurgery (2014). Attending neurosurgeon at University Hospital of Padova (2010-2011). Adjunct Professor at the University of Padova (since 2011). Attending neurosurgeon at University Department of Neurosurgery of Treviso Hospital, Italy (2011-2013). Attending neurosurgeon and Adjunct Professor at the Department of Neurosurgery of Modena University Hospital, Italy (2014-2019). Associate Professor of Neurosurgery at the University of Verona (since 2019).
Postdoctoral research fellow at the Department of Neurological Surgery of the University of California San Francisco, USA (2009-2010). Academic Assistant Specialist at the School of Medicine, UCSF, USA (2010-2012). Cerebrovascular fellowship at the Fujita Health University Banbuntane Hotokukai Hospital, Nagoya, Japan (2016).
Author and coauthor of about 70 scientific papers in international peer-reviewed journals. Author of 8 book chapters. Participant of several courses and congresses, and speaker in about 30 of them. Ad hoc reviewer for about 15 journals, as World Journal of Surgical Oncology, European Journal of Neurology, Journal of Neurosurgical Sciences, European Journal of Pain, Histology and Histopathology, Asian Journal of Neurosurgery. Editorial Board Member for Frontiers in Neurosurgery and Cancers (Special Issue). First surgeon in about 1000 operations. Prize for MD thesis, Scropetta Award in 2006 in Trieste, Italy. Bartolazzi Award delivered by the Italian Society of Neurosurgery (SINch) in 2016. Member of SINch since 2010, EANS since 2016, AANS (2009-2013), Board Member of ISMINS (2017-present). Anatomical illustrator for scientific papers.
Main surgical interests: cerebrovascular surgery, brain tumors, intramedullary tumors, neuroendoscopy, functional neurosurgery.
