Objectives of this project are:
  1. to develop a software able to help anthropometrists in automatically measure foot anatomical dimensions from 3D scan data of the foot; these measurements will be called in the remainder of this project OSM (Our Software Measurements);
  2. to compare these measurements calculated with our software (OSM) with the ones manually taken with standard anthropometric techniques (called Manual Measurements, or MM) and with those calculated with a reference commercial software used for comparison (called Commercial Software Measurements, or CSM);
  3. to validate our methodology against physical 3D models of the scanned feet created with a Rapid Prototyping printer. This last set of measurements will be called Rapid Prototyping Measurements (RPM).
