Curriculum

 
Samuel D'Emanuele obtained a Master's degree with honours (110/110 cum laude) and the dignity of publication from the Faculty of Sport Sciences at the University of Turin. His master's thesis, titled "An experimental protocol of ergonomics and kinesiology for pianists and violinists," was supervised by Professor Alberto Rainoldi and in 2023, he obtained a PhD in Neuroscience, Psychological and Psychiatric Sciences, and Movement Sciences, as well as the title of Doctor Europaeus, at the University of Verona. His doctoral thesis, titled "Rate of Force Development and Purely Explosive Contractions: From Neural and Muscular Determinants to Methods to Assess Central, Peripheral Fatigue, and Asymmetries," was supervised by Professor Federico Schena. 
During his doctoral studies, he spent a period at Northumbria University in Newcastle (UK) at the Faculty of Health & Life Sciences – Department of Sport, Exercise, and Rehabilitation under the supervision of Professor Stuart Goodall.
The main topic and research areas are Rate of Force Development, HDsEMG, Fatigue, Asymmetries and ergonomics/postural control.
Currently, he holds a postdoctoral position working on a project titled "Study of the determinants of muscle function about health and lifestyles in the elderly population."
He is a member of the European College of Sport Science (ECSS) and Società Italiana delle Scienze Motorie e Sportive (SISMES).
