Verona University, with the Medical Faculty as leader, guarantees high level of innovative technologies in order to deeply study the Monte Baldo biodiversity which offers nutritional and preventive opportunities for human health.
The “Monte Baldo Research Center” will investigate these facets, thanks to the peculiar environmental conditions of Monte Baldo, single interface between Alps and Mediterranean sea, with a geological and climatic history that make it unique. The high quality standard procedures and the “know-how” coming from the pharmaceutical field, will be applied to the “Agri-food area” allowing us to check the nutritional and preventive effects of the products, objectively.
This can give new and important motivations in the mountain products’ consume, rediscovering forgotten productions and traditions.
