Lines of research

The Department of Neuroscience, Biomedicine and Movement coordinates experimental and clinical research activities and seeks to increase the interaction between research and teaching in fields that share ideological and/or methdological approaches regarding: human physiology; macro and microscopic morphological science; nervous system and visual system disorders; applied and molecular biology to investigate the regulation of gene expression and cell-virus interactions; human genetics and genetic diseases; clinical and biological chemistry; physiology and biomolecular functions of human movement; the organisation of behaviour and main psychological functions, including studies in consciousness, personality and intelligence as well as the biological, physiological and neuropsychological elements of behaviour; psychometrics, relevant theories and measurement methods in psychology; and the evaluation of communication skills in clinical settings.
