Understand the need to address the problem of antibiotic resistance with strategies that allow us to overcome the problem and new approaches to the treatment of infections
Prerequisites and basic notions
Antibiotic resistance is a major public health problem and one of the most concerning aspects of treating infections.
Program
In addition to the development of new antibiotics, new strategies are being sought to combat antibiotic resistance. These include phage therapy, enzymes derived from phages (especially endolysins), antimicrobial peptides and the development of vaccines. The course will examine these new approaches considering their advantages and critical points
