Learning objectives
The Global Burden of Disease (GBD) represents an effort to measure the impact that disease, physical injury and risk factors have over time on the health of the population in relation to gender, age and geographical context. The course aims to provide an overview of the main indicators used in health research to analyze the social welfare need in the population as a basis for planning and organizing health services, with particular reference to the Italian National Health Service. In particular, the aspects relating to epidemiological indicators and inequality in access to services included in the GBD studies will be explored

When and where
The teaching is structured in frontal theoretical lessons. The teaching material is made available to students on the teaching e-learning web page (Moodle platform). Students in isolation and/or quarantine for COVID-19 will be allowed access to lessons via ZOOM (in synchronous mode), after sending the form to the teacher by e-mail to self-certify their positivity.
