Preclinical experiments are subject to different sources of bias, both unavoidable and avoidable. In particular, understanding sources of bias related to animal models is a key element for drawing valid conclusions. Circadian rhythms, food preference, visual skills are aspects which we should always take into account before planning and analyzing our data. In facts, the awareness of possible bias can be essential to limit their effects and impact in data interpretation.
