Following the PhD graduation, Dr Massimo Venturelli has developed his research career at the Department of Internal Medicine, University of Utah, USA (January 2011- July-2013). From July 2013 to July 2016 was employed as Assistant Professor at the Department of Biomedical Sciences for Health, University of Milan. He is actually working as Assistant Professor, Department of Neuroscience Biomedicine and Movement Sciences, University of Verona and Adjunct Professor, Department of Department of Internal Medicine, University of Utah, USA. Dr Venturelli’s area of research includes, age-related mechanisms that limit exercise capacity associated to healthy lifestyle (centenarians), mobility limitations (frail older adults), and cognitive disorders (Alzheimer’s disease).

The area of research includes age-related mechanisms that limit exercise capacity associated to the healthy lifestyle (centenarians), mobility limitations (frailty), and cognitive impairment (Alzheimer’s disease). With an integrative and translational approach, I am focusing on the role of vascular and mitochondrial function, associated to longevity, age-related disease, and dementia.
