La mia attività di ricerca si concentra sullo studio e sull’ingegnerizzazione delle vescicole extracellulari (EVs) derivate da diverse matrici biologiche, con l’obiettivo di utilizzarle come sistemi avanzati di delivery. In particolare, sviluppo strategie basate sulle EVs per il trasporto mirato di molecole naturali dotate di proprietà antinfiammatorie e antiossidanti, nonché di proteine ricombinanti. Un focus specifico del mio lavoro riguarda l’impiego delle EVs come veicolo per la proteina STAT3, esplorandone il potenziale ruolo nella modulazione delle risposte infiammatorie e dei processi cellulari associati. Questo approccio multidisciplinare apre inoltre a possibili applicazioni delle EVs in diversi ambiti valorizzandone il potenziale come sistemi innovativi per il veicolamento di composti bioattivi.
