Curriculum

My research interests cover the following main areas:
- Psychological and psychosocial interventions for people exposed to traumatic experiences in low- and middle-income countries;
- Global mental health and public health at community level;
- Treatment, preventative and promotion interventions for children living in humanitarian settings;
- Mental health of vulnerable populations.
I apply the most rigorous research methodologies to the field of Global Mental Health, including randomized controlled trials, systematic reviews, standard meta-analyses, network meta-analyses, and individual participant data meta-analyses.

CLINICAL PSYCHOPHARMACOLOGY AND DRUG-EPIDEMIOLOGY
The main research interests of the Unit include: (a) pharmaco-epidemiology, oriented to describe the beneficial and harmful effects of psychotropic drugs in ordinary practice; (b) randomized controlled trials, oriented to assess the efficacy and tolerability profile of psychotropic drugs in experimental conditions; (c) systematic reviews, oriented to summarize clinical trial findings using meta-analytical techniques.
