Title of the project: Muscle toxicity of bortezomib in patients with multiple myeloma: a prospective clinical study and in vivo/in vitro investigation of toxicity mechanisms.
Advisor: Dott. Gaetano Vattemi 
Topics of research
Pathogenic mechanisms of neuromuscular diseases including myofibrillar myopathies, idiopathic inflammatory myopathies, Brody disease, myotonic dystrophies and mitochondrial diseases. Identification of biomarker and potential therapeutic targets in skeletal muscle disorders.
Technical skills
Molecular biology, cell cultures, histology and animal models.
