Service note
Cinzia Perlini is lecturer in Clinical Psychology. She received the degree in Psychology in 2002 and the PhD degree in Psychological and Psychiatric Sciences in 2009. Since 2004 she has been part of the Research Unit in Brain Imaging and Neuropsychology and in 2013 she also joined the Research Unit in Clinical Psychology and Communication in Medicine of the University of Verona. Her research interests include neuropsychology, brain imaging and psychophysiology of psychiatric and psychological disturbances, along with psychological factors involved in chronic pain.

Quality of communication in healthcare
RESEARCH UNIT ON BRAIN IMAGING AND NEUROPSYCHOLOGY
The main focus of the research Unit is to achieve a better understanding of neurobiological underpinnings of major psychiatric disorders (bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, unipolar depression and autism) and to study the possible connection with outcome, neuropsychological and biological measures. The aim of our research group is to increase the knowledge of possible neural circuitry in these disorders and to study the timing and development of the neuroanatomical alterations, in order to achieve a better knowledge for an early detection and treatment of these disorders.
