Curriculum

Dr. Chiara Milanese conducts research activities in the field of sport sciences. Her main focus is in the study of anthropometric and body composition characteristics related to physical activity and sport performance in able-bodied and disabled athletes, as well as in populations with chronic diseases (e.g. obesity, anorexia nervosa, osteoporosis, endometriosis, spinal cord injury). Another area of interest is motor learning, with particular attention to exploring the efficacy of different training strategies to improve motor skill in athletes of different ability levels. Her research involves the following techniques: linear and 3D anthropometry; plicometry and DXA body composition analysis; motion capture system analysis (VICON) and the force platform. She has been collaborating with the Department of Eating and Weight Disorders Villa Garda Hospital Verona since 2012.
