Scope and aims of the seminar


With an emphasis on scalable interventions, personalized treatment approaches, and the pursuit of innovative solutions, this seminar will bring together leading experts and thought leaders to engage in critical dialogue on the current state of mental healthcare delivery worldwide. Featured speakers will include Dr. Vikram Patel (Harvard Medical School), who contributed to establish global mental health as a recognized field of research and practice; Marit Sijbrandij (Vrije Universiteit), expert in the prevention and treatment of mental health issues arising from trauma and adversity; and Dr Davide Papola (University of Verona), who will present the results of his three-year research project as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellow. Dr Ioana Alina Cristea (University of Padua), methodologist and meta-researcher, will provide context and a critical examination of the data and methodologies presented. The seminar aims to inspire domain experts and global mental health enthusiasts alike, while highlighting the European Union’s research excellence and its potential to foster scientific advancement.
