Curriculum

Gli interessi scientifici di Massimo Donadelli, PhD e Professore Ordinario di Biochimica, sono principalmente indirizzati all'individuazione di strategie innovative per inibire la proliferazione di cellule tumorali in modelli cellulari e animali, con particolare attenzione ai meccanismi di chemioresistenza tumorale. Il Prof. Donadelli ha una consolidata esperienza nella regolazione trascrizionale dei geni mediante modificazioni epigenetiche, nella regolazione dello stress ossidativo e nella regolazione di meccanismi molecolari dell'autofagia nel cancro. Negli ultimi anni, i suoi studi di ricerca si sono focalizzati principalmente sulla deregolazione del metabolismo energetico guidata dalla forma mutata della proteina p53 e dal suo coinvolgimento nella chemioresistenza e nell'iperproliferazione tumorale. Il Prof. Donadelli ha una serie di collaborazioni in corso con diversi scienziati nazionali e internazionali nel campo della ricerca sul cancro. Nel corso della sua carriera ha partecipato a diversi progetti di ricerca finanziati ed è attualmente membro di diverse società scientifiche e del Comitato Editoriale di rilevanti riviste nel campo della ricerca sul cancro.
