Dr. Cecchini's research is oriented to the evaluation of the chemical senses, in particular the study of olfaction and taste performance in humans, in various clinical and pathological conditions (e.g. Parkinson's disease, Down syndrome). For years he has been working with the Smell & Taste Clinic of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology of the University of Dresden, Germany, coordinated by Prof. Thomas Hummel and various groups from the University of Verona.
