Curriculum

Massimo Donadelli, PhD and Associate Professor of Biochemistry, is mainly interested in identifying innovative strategies to inhibit cancer cell proliferation in vitro and in animal models, with particular attention to the mechanisms of tumour chemoresistance. Prof. Donadelli has a consolidated experience in the transcriptional regulation of genes through epigenetic modifications, in the regulation of oxidative stress and in the regulation of molecular mechanisms of autophagy in cancer. In recent years, his research studies have focused mainly on the regulation of molecular mechanisms driven by mutant p53 protein and its involvement in chemoresistance and tumor hyperproliferation. Prof. Donadelli has a number of ongoing collaborations with several national and international scientists in the field of cancer research. During his career he has participated in several funded research projects and is currently a member of several scientific societies and of the Editorial Board of relevant cancer research journals.
